Obeidi points fingers at Jubouri in armament contracts’ corruption
(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD – A parliamentary source revealed on Monday that Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi alleged Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri to be involved in corruption in al-arming contracts, including contracts for armored vehicles.
“The allegation by Khaled al-Obeidi was made today during the meeting of House of Representatives. He also accused one of the employees, who works in Jubouri’s office, to be associated with Jubouri in these contracts,” the source seeking anonymity added.
It may be mentioned here that the Parliament held its eight session on Monday, which was headed by Salim al-Jubouri and 182 members were present in it.
“The meeting will vote on candidates for the Federal Public Service Board,” the source added.
