Colonel assassinated in Baghdad [08/05/2014]

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An officer with a Colonel rank at the Ministry of Defense along with his driver was killed in an armed attack in Abu Ghraib district of western Baghdad.

Security source told Iraqi News ”Unidentified gunmen attacked the vehicle that was transport the officer with silenced weapons, killing them, at the highway of Abu Ghraib district.”

”The ambulances transported the dead bodies to the morgue while the security forces blocked off the scene and started an investigation to capture the attackers who fled after the attack,” the source concluded. \End\
