Official, bodyguards injured in Baghdad bomb explosion

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Assistant Director General of the Civil Defense Directorate in Karkh side, brigadier Walid Majeed, and two of his bodyguards were injured when a bomb went off in Qadisiya Neighborhood of western Baghdad.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “The brigadier survived an assassination attempt when unidentified gunmen targeted his vehicle by detonating an Improvised Explosive Device that resulted in injuring him with his two bodyguards and caused material damages to the car.”

Earlier, Baghdad, Diyala and Kirkuk provinces witnessed a series of bombings that resulted in killing and injuring dozens of civilians and security elements.
