Operation began to liberate al-Saidiya, northeast of Baqubah

Diyali (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, the head of Diyali police force Gen. Officer Gamil al-Shamri announced that, an extensive operation began to liberate al-Saidiya district in northeast Baqubah.

Al-Shamri informed IraqiNews, “Security forces accompanied by tribal fighters began an extensive operation to liberate al-Saidiya district with aerial support from Iraqi Air Force. Three ISIS militants have been killed and Iraqi forces has controlled the Wais-Saidiya main road in al-Saidiya area, 60 km northeast of Baqubah.”
