Over 1,200 detainees released in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: More than 1,200 detainees have been released in southwestern Iraq ’s Karbala Province over the past 4 months, the Province’s Secession Court ’s media spokesman said on Monday.   “The Judicial parties in Karbala Province have released 1,202 detainees out of 1,541 that were detained under different charges over the past 4 months,” Judge Ismail Khadhim Hamid told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said the release of the detainees had taken place, according to instructions of the Supreme Judicial Authority, adding that “the judicial offices are continuing their efforts to study all dossiers presented for them, in order to release the detainees or send some of their cases to the related courts.”   SKH (ST) 505
