(Iraqinews.com) Baghdad – On Monday, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan announced the withdrawal of part of the Turkish troops stationed in the city of Mosul.

Media official of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghias Alsurja, said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Part of the Turkish troops, stationed in the national camp in Zalqan vicinity in Bashiqa north of Mosul, withdrew to the north,” adding that, “Those forces were accompanied by a force consisting of 11 tanks and armored vehicles.”

For his part, MP for the province of Nineveh Salim Juma said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Turkish troops withdrew from Mosul and headed towards the province of Dohuk,” noting that “The withdrawal began at five o’clock in the morning.”
