Police officer injured in Baghdad attack

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi police officer has been seriously injured in an attack by an unknown armed group against a police patrol in east Baghdad ’s Palestine Street on Saturday night, according to a security source on Sunday.   “A group of gunmen have attacked an Iraqi police patrol in eastern Baghdad ’s Palestine Street on Saturday night, seriously wounding a police officer, with a lieutenant rank, who was driven to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said the police had started an investigation about the attack, giving no further details.   SKH (PT) 393
