Residents of 60 villages near Dohuk migrate due to Turkish attacks

Dohuk (IraqiNews.com) Media official of Dyralook (Dêraluk) area, Mahmoud Naheli, announced on Tuesday, that the residents of 60 villages, in northern Dohuk, migrated from their areas in the previous period due to the armed clashes between the Kurdistan Workers Party’s (PKK) militants and Turkish forces, and pointed out that the displacement of residents negatively affected economy and agriculture in the area.
Naheli said in a press statement, “Residents of 60 border villages in Dyralook area in al-Emadiyah district, in northern Dohuk in the previous period, due to the armed clashes between the Kurdistan Workers Party’s (PKK) militants and Turkish forces.”
“The residents of these villages are suffering difficult humanitarian situation, and their displacement negatively affected economic and agricultural situation in the area,” Naheli added.
According to informed sources in Dohuk Province, residents of 600 border villages could not return to their villages due to repeated Turkish attacks, in addition to suffering difficult humanitarian and economic situation away from their areas.
