Roadside bomb targets MNF in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A roadside bomb went off targeting a Multi-National Forces (MNF) patrol in Iraq’s northern city of Basra, without causing any damages or casualties, a source from Basra Operations Room said on Thursday. “ The incident took place while the patrol was en-route to its base at Basra International Airport,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “ The charge was planted in a pit covered with garbage,” he said. “ The attack caused no casualties or damages,” he added. The source did not explain whether the patrol was British or U.S. The MNF in Basra have note yet commented on this issue. The oil-rich city of Basra lies 590 km south of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
