Series of bombings kill, injure 80 persons in Diyala, Iraq

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) About 80 persons were either killed or injured due to a series of bombings targeting processions of Ashura in Baquba district of Diyala province.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Two IEDs and a suicide bomber successively exploded to target processions of Ashura in Khanaqeen district of northeastern Baquba to result in killing 15 persons and injuring 67 others.”

“The number of the casualties is primary and the police forces blocked the area to avoid more bombings,” the source concluded.
