New Tasfirat prison incident details revealed by Samara Operations Command

SOC reveales to IraqiNews.com new details concerning Tasfirat prison incident

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) The Commander of Samara Operations Command, Lieutenant General Rasheed Falieh, revealed new details concerning the fleeing of prisoners from Tasfirat prison in Tikrit city.

He reported to IraqiNews.com on Saturday that ”We have suspecions about a kind of collusion between the management staff of the prison and the fugitives since the investigation uncovered that the fugitives possessed some swords which is a clear proof of the collusion,” noting that “The prisoners managed to seize weapons which were stored in the prison.”

He added that “The Operations Command hold the prison management responsible for the escape operation and the investigation is still going on with several prison guards.”

He pointed out that ”The Samara Operations Command is coordinating with the security commands of Salah-il-Din province and the Dijla Operations Command which deployed its forces all over borders between Diyala and Salah-il-Din provinces.”

He continued saying that ”The security forces are looking for (48) fugitives while eight fugitives were killed during chasing them.” \
