 Security forces cleanse road between Fallujah-Ramadi, 30 ISIS members killed

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The leadership of al-Hashed al-Shaabi in Anbar Province announced on Thursday, that the security forces cleansed a strategic road in southern Fallujah (62 km west of Baghdad), while pointed out to the killing of 30 ISIS members.

The commander of al-Hashd al-Shaabi’s 2nd regiment in Amiriyat Fallujah, Colonel Lawrence Mohammed al-Eissawi said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning the joint forces were able to cleanse the strategic road linking between Ameriya (19 km south of Fallujah) and the city of Ramadi,” noting that, “The operation resulted in the killing of 30 ISIS members.”

Eissawi added, “The security forces were able to dismantle more than 400 explosive devices in the strategic road,” pointing out that, “The joint forces in Anbar Province are ready to carry out a military operation to cleanse the remaining areas of Amiriyah.”
