Strong blast kills 2, injures 23 in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Two persons were killed and 23 others were wounded in a powerful explosion that took place in the city of Karbala, a medical source said on Wednesday. “An explosive charge went off at 1:00am on Wednesday (Feb. 3) in Kantarat al-Salam region, east of Karbala, killing two people and injuring 23 Shiite visitors, including three women and two children,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The strong blast set five vehicles on fire,” he added.
