Suspected killer of sister, nephew arrested in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: A man suspected of killing his sister and her son on Monday was captured a few hours after the murder, according to a local police chief. “On Monday, forces from Karbala police arrested a man suspected of killing his sister and her seven-year-old son, and wounding her husband,” Staff Maj. Gen. Ali Jassem Mohammed told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The arrest took place less than three hours after the crime occurred,” the official noted. “The suspect is believed to have opened fire on his sister’s family in her house in southern Karbala city,” the general explained, linking the killing to a family dispute. “An investigation is currently underway to reveal the real motivations behind the crime,” he added.
