Terrorists who executed Kut’s booby-trapped car arrested
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The terrorists who implemented the explosion of a booby-trapped car in south Iraq’s city of Kut on Monday have been detained by a Wassit Police force, a Wassit Police source reported on Tuesday. “Wassit Police forces have managed to detain five of the wanted persons, for their responsibility in implementing the explosion of a booby-trapped car in central Kut on Monday,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that two of the wanted persons were detained in a checkpoint north of Kut and the three others in Suwaira township, 135 km to the north of Kut. The city of Kut had witnessed on Monday the explosion of a booby-trapped car that killed and wounded 98 civilians and caused damage to a number of trade shops and civilian cars. Kut, the center of Wassit Province, is 180 km to the southeast of Baghdad. SKH (TI)/SR 586
