Three wanted persons detained, gunmen attack doctor’s house in Kirkuk
KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A joint Iraqi, U.S. military and Police force has carried out a special mission in Riyadh township, 45 km to the southwest of Kirkuk on Saturday, arresting 3 wanted men and confiscating arms and ammunitions uncovered in their possession, Kirkuk’s Police Director reported. “A joint Iraqi, U.S. Army and Police force has launched an offensive in Kirkuk’s Riyadh township, detaining two persons, wanted for Iraqi Law’s Article 4 – Terrorism and a third person, charged with Article 406 – Murder,” Lt-Brigadier, Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. Qader said that a Kalashnikov rifle, as well as explosive and drug materials, were found with the detained persons. In another development, Kirkuk ’s Miqdad Police’s Assistant Director, Kamel Ahmed, told IraqiNews.com on Saturday that a group of unknown gunmen opened fire on the house of a doctor in Kirkuk ’s Adan district, causing damage to the house and fleeing to an unknown destination.
