Two people wounded in bomb blast in Salahuddin: Source

Speaking to Almaalomah website, the source said “a bomb, went off, late on Thursday, targeting a vehicle with two people on board, on the road leading to al-Zawya village, north of Biji in Salahuddin.”
The blast, according to the source, “left two people wounded and their vehicle damaged.”
The wounded were transferred to hospital for treatment.
On Wednesday, the pro-government al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) reportedly killed three Islamic State militants who were attempting to sneak into villages near the Makhoul Mountains, north of the province.
Islamic State continues to launch sporadic attacks across Iraq against troops. Security reports indicate that the militant group still poses threat against stability in the country.
A total of 76 people were killed and 129 others were injured due to acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflicts during the month of June, casualty figures recorded by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).
Diyala was the worst affected Governorate, according to the report, with 52 civilian casualties (16 killed, 36 injured), then came Kirkuk (10 killed, 36 injured) then Baghdad (19 killed and 18 injured).
