Two robbers of gold shops nabbed in Falluja
ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Monday arrested two persons involved in armed robberies that targeted gold shops in Falluja city on June 26, 2010. “The arrests occurred in a security operation today at dawn,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that the operation relied on intelligence tip offs. “A quantity of stolen gold items was found on the two men,” the source added. A jeweler died on Saturday, June 26, due to injuries he sustained in an armed robbery that day that targeted his gold shop in central Falluja. Earlier the same day, a police source said that two jewelers were killed and another was wounded in armed robberies that targeted three gold shops in the city. Police forces the same day found another jeweler dead inside his gold shop in Falluja. He was the fourth jeweler killed in the city within hours of June 26, 2010.
