Unidentified body of woman found west of Makhmour
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces on Saturday found the unidentified body of a woman west of the northern Iraqi district of Makhmour, an army source said. “The body, found on the main road linking Makhmour to al-Qiyara district, near the village of Makuk, (7 km) west of Makhmour, showed signs of having been shot,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Makhmour, administratively belonging to the province of Ninewa, is one of the disputed areas between the central government in Baghdad and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government. It lies 68 km southwest of Arbil, the capital city of the Kurdistan RegionG. “The body, which could not be identified as it had no official documents, was carried to a nearby hospital,” he added.
