URGENT: ISIS and Iraqi security forces clash west of Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Friday a source in the Iraqi police announced that violent clashes broke out between security forces and militants of the so-called the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the district of Abu Ghraib, west of the capital Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “on Friday, the clashes erupted between the Iraqi army and the organization ISIS in Zaidan area, which belongs to Abu Ghraib district west of Baghdad.”
The source, who asked not to be named, added: “a number of military personnel had been killed or wounded as a result of these clashes.”
