Wanted person nabbed in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Security forces arrested a wanted man during a search raid conducted in northern Wassit province on Friday, a security source said. “Interior ministry’s Quick Response forces on Friday captured a man wanted on charges of murders, plunder and kidnappings in the district of al-Suwayra, (135 km) north of al-Kut city,” the source told IraqiNews.com, adding the man belonged to an armed group. “The operation took place based on intelligence tip-offs that the man was hiding inside a house in al-Suwayra,” he said, noting that initial investigations revealed that he was involved in murders, kidnappings and pillaging in different areas of the province.
