Woman killed, 17 persons injured in Kirkuk blast
KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com – A woman has been killed and 17 persons wounded in a booby-trapped car blast close to a Kirkuk hospital on Wednesday, a police director said. “A booby-trapped car blew off on Wednesday morning close to Kirkuk hospital at the center of the city, targeted against the Director of Kirkuk’s Water Office, Abdul-Qader Mohammed Amin, killing a woman and wounding 17 persons, including some policemen, along with causing damage to a number civilian cars,” Brigadier Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. Brigadier Qader said that Engineer Abdul-Qader Mohammed Amin was not hurt in the attack. Another Kirkuk Police Director, Ahmed Shimrany, told IraqiNews.com early in the day that a booby-trapped car blew off close to Kirkuk ’s General Hospital , but he gave no details about casualties and losses caused by the attack.
