Al-Sudani meets with Masoud Barzani in Erbil
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, met on Tuesday, in Erbil, with the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, at the beginning of his visit to the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which includes the cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah.
A luncheon was given in honor of Al-Sudani, and was attended by several officials in Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), according to a press statement issued by the Prime Minister’s press office.
Al-Sudani confirmed the government’s keenness to communicate with all political forces to reach further understandings, which will be reflected on the government’s performance in providing services to citizens.
Barzani expressed his happiness with the government’s reform efforts, and reaffirmed his support for the government program, which is capable of advancing the economic and developmental reality of Iraq.
Al-Sudani is accompanied by a government delegation that includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Planning, the Minister of Immigration and Displaced, the Director of the Iraqi Border Ports Commission, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, the Undersecretary of the National Security Council and some advisors.
