Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iran’s exports to Iraq increased by four percent during the past eight months, according to head of the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), Alireza Peyman-Pak.

Peyman-Pak explained that Iran’s exports to Iraq during eight months in 2022 reached 4.3 billion USD.

Peyman-Pak clarified that the value of Iranian non-oil exports to Iraq reached three billion USD, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Peyman-Pak indicated that the export of natural gas to Iraq decreased during the first eight months of 2022 by 1.6 billion USD compared to the same period last year.

Peyman-Pak mentioned that out of the total 100 commodities exported to Iraq, 70 commodities witnessed a growth in exports, while 30 commodities witnessed a decline.

Peyman-Pak added that the TPO, as the sponsor of the country’s foreign trade, put several programs on its agenda to increase Iranian exports to Iraq and preserve the Iraqi market.
