Iraq, Saudi Arabia review oil prices in Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, emphasized the necessity of working with Saudi Arabia to control the energy market and oil prices under the umbrella of OPEC.
Al-Sudani’s statement took place during his meeting on Wednesday with the Saudi Minister of Energy, Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The meeting addressed opportunities for developing economic ties between Iraq and Saudi Arabia as well as potential areas of collaboration between the two countries.
The Iraqi Prime Minister hailed the Saudi companies’ arrival on the country’s market, which offers an extensive range of excellent investment opportunities, indicating that the relations between the two countries reached advanced levels, particularly with regard to investment, development, and infrastructure related to the energy sector.
Al-Sudani elaborated that working with Saudi Arabia to control the energy market and oil prices will ensure the stability of energy markets in the region and the world, as well as the interests of both producing and consuming countries.
The Saudi Minister of Energy emphasized Saudi Arabia’s eagerness to promote cooperation with Iraq in various fields.
