Iraq to build water desalination system in Al-Muthanna Governorate

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Director Office of the German Development Bank KFW in Iraq, Anna Christine Janke, signed an agreement with Iraq’s Minister of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities, Bangen Rekani, to finance the project for water filtering and desalination of Al-Khader and Al-Daraji water in Al-Muthanna Governorate, southern Iraq.

The project design is expected to have a capacity of 1,500 m3.

Construction work includes the implementation of networks, conveyor lines, distribution networks and household connections. This will contribute to the provision of potable water and the elimination of water scarcity in the areas of Al-Khader and Al-Darraji and their neighboring villages.
