Iraqi, Czech FMs discuss economy, investment and education
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affair, Fuad Hussein, discussed with the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavsky, on Thursday, the economic, investment and educational fields between the two countries, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
In a joint press conference with the Czech Foreign Minister, Hussein said that the relations between Iraq and the Czech Republic went through different stages supporting the Iraqi people, INA mentioned.
Hussein indicated that he discussed with Lipavsky the economic and trade relations, supporting Czech companies participating in the Iraqi economy, and fellowships in the Czech Republic.
The Iraqi Foreign Minister explained that he also discussed with Lipavsky Iraq’s pioneering role in the region, as well as the situation in Syria and its return to its seat in the Arab League.
Hussein added that Iraq is an oil-producing country and will be a gas-producing country in the coming years, pointing out that Czech Republic supports the Iraqi forces in the war against terrorism.
“We are looking forward to starting the business conference with Iraq,” Lipavsky said, appreciating Iraq’s role in the stability of the Middle East.
Lipavsky officially invited the Iraqi Foreign Minister to visit Prague, expressing that Czech Republic is ready to develop the relations with Iraq.
