Iraqi FIIA arrests 10 terrorists

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency (FIIA) announced on Wednesday it arrested 10 terrorists, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The FIIA of the Ministry of the Interior mentioned in a statement that it managed to arrest 10 wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of the Terrorism Act, INA reported.
The statement explained that two of the terrorists worked in the so-called battalion of suicide bombers, and they were responsible for preparing explosive belts, while the rest of the arrested terrorists set up fake security checkpoints and planted improvised explosive devices (IEDs) targeting security forces and civilians.
The statement added that a security operation to arrest the suspects was carried out according to intelligence information and after arrest warrants were issued by the concerned authorities.
The FIIA also indicated that the confessions of the terrorists were recorded, and legal measures were taken against them, INA added.
