Iraqi-German agreement to transfer Elatec technology to Iraq
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, agreed on Thursday with the German company, Elatec, to transfer its expertise and technological capabilities to the Diyala State Company, according to a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement issued by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals mentioned that Al-Najm, during his current visit to Germany, was briefed about the factories of the German company, Elatec, and its capabilities in manufacturing and producing secondary and mobile stations, box stations, control panels and the E-house system.
The General Manager of the Diyala State Company, Abd Al-Sattar Mikhlif, accompanied Al-Najm in his visit to Germany, the statement explained.
Al-Najm and Mikhlif discussed with officials in Elatec possible cooperation between their company and the Diyala State Company, especially that Diyala State Company has an industrial base as well as great engineering and technical expertise to meet the needs of the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, the statement elaborated.
The two sides agreed to work together and transfer the manufacturing technology of stations and electrical systems to the Diyala State Company.
The Diyala State Company was found in 1974 and is specialized in electric industries including distribution transformers, power transformers, optical fiber cables, electric meters, spark plugs and other electric products.
