Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, recently met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in Riyadh.

The meeting underscored the significance of strengthening ties between the two nations and explored avenues for further cooperation across various sectors.

Central to their discussions was the bilateral relationship between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, with a focus on enhancing collaboration and reviewing the progress made within the framework of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council.

Both leaders highlighted the importance of the agreements reached under the council’s auspices, spanning diverse areas of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s eagerness to expand economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia, aiming to stimulate growth and unlock fresh opportunities across economic domains. Such collaboration not only aligns with the shared interests of the two countries but also promises prosperity for their respective populations.

Amidst their deliberations, the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza emerged as a pressing concern. Both leaders lamented the dire humanitarian situation characterized by violence and deprivation inflicted by occupying forces. They reiterated the urgent need for concerted efforts to halt the conflict, recognizing its detrimental impacts on regional and international stability.
