Iraqi PM, IFA congratulate Saudi Arabia on its victory over Argentina

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, congratulated the Saudi national team for its 2-1 victory over Argentina in its first World Cup match.
“We congratulate the Saudi national team on its well-deserved victory over Argentina national team,” Al-Sudani said via Twitter.
“I wish the Saudi team and all Arab teams participating in the World Cup victory and success,” Al-Sudani added.
The President of the Iraqi Football Association (IFA), Adnan Darjal, also congratulated the Saudi national team for its winning over Argentina in World Cup 2022, according to a statement issued by the IFA.
“The President of the IFA, Adnan Darjal, on behalf of the IFA, extends his warmest congratulations and blessings to his Saudi counterpart and the Saudi fans for achieving victory over Argentina in World Cup 2022 held in Qatar,” according to the statement.
“The 2-1 Saudi victory is a well-deserved and impressive victory over a competitor that is considered one of the candidates to win the World Cup title,” the statement mentioned.
“The Saudi national team presented a great performance and a wonderful technical discipline, as well as great eagerness and distinguished dedication that helped the team to gain three points in the match. It is a great motivation for the rest of the Arab teams to achieve good results during their current participation in the World Cup, which is held in the Arab world for the first time,” the statement added.
The Saudi national team achieved a historic victory over Argentina in the match played on Tuesday at Lusail Stadium in Qatar. The match is part of the first round matches of Qatar World Cup 2022.
