Iraqi PM inaugurates Air Force College at Al-Suwaira Air Base
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, inaugurated the Air Force College on Monday at the Al-Suwaira Air Base in Wasit governorate.
Al-Sudani toured the departments of the college, where he was briefed on the techniques used in training and qualifying pilots, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The Iraqi Prime Minister indicated that his government’s plan includes restoring the infrastructure of the country, including the Ministry of Defense and the armament of the Iraqi military forces.
“The Air Force College at the Al-Suwaira Air Base is significantly important to serve the military institution in general and the air force in particular,” Al-Sudani said.
“The new Air Force College will provide the Iraqi army with qualified fighter pilots after they undergo study and training,” the Iraqi Prime Minister stated.
More than 72 percent of the infrastructure of the new Air Force College has been completed.
Al-Sudani commended the efforts of all parties that contributed to the completion of this important project on time, in addition to the role of the Ministries of Oil, Electricity, Finance, and Interior.
