 Iraqi PM invited to take part in the World Economic Forum

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, received an invitation on Monday from the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, to take part in the World Economic Forum Special Meeting on global cooperation, growth, and energy.

Al-Sudani received an official invitation to participate in the World Economic Forum Special Meeting on global cooperation, growth and energy which will take place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at the end of April, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

In his letter sent to the Iraq Prime Minister, the Saudi Crown Prince highlighted the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, adding that Al-Sudani’s attendance will positively affect the outcome of the meeting’s proceedings.

The World Economic Forum Special Meeting will be held between April 28 and 29 and will address a variety of global topics and challenges, as well as international collaboration in the areas of economics and sustainable development.

Saudi Arabia made a historic agreement with the Forum to hold a special meeting in Riyadh, which will bring together over 700 world leaders from the public and private sectors, NGOs, and civil society to promote discussions between countries to revive international cooperation.
