Iraqi PM meets with NATO Secretary-General in NYC
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – During the 78th United Nations General Assembly, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, provided as an opportunity for Iraq and NATO to improve ties, notably in the areas of security and counterterrorism.
Al-Sudani invited UN Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg to visit Iraq.
The Prime Minister commended NATO for its steadfast assistance in Iraq’s continued fight against ISIS, as well as its commitment to improving the Iraq’s military skills, training, and guidance.
Fuad Hussein, the Foreign Minister of Iraq, also attended the meeting.
