 Iraqi PM, Saudi Crown Prince discuss mutual cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, received a phone call from the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, where they discussed mutual cooperation in various economic and investment sectors, the Prime Minister’s press office mentioned in a statement.

Both leaders discussed ways to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international issues of common interest, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Al-Sudani and Salman emphasized the continuation of mutual cooperation in various economic and investment sectors, within the framework of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, to achieve the interests of the people of the two countries and their aspirations for more stability and development.

Last week, Al-Sudani received the Saudi Minister of Commerce, Majid Al-Qasabi, and his accompanying delegation, and affirmed openness towards developing the partnership with Saudi Arabia in various areas, especially in economic and investment sectors.  

Al-Sudani and Al-Qasabi also talked about cooperation in the field of energy and coordination in facing the effects of climate change, and efforts to limit its repercussions on the region.
