Iraqi PM stresses Iraq’s keenness to maintain distinct relations with Jordan
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, stressed Iraq’s keenness to maintain distinguished relations with Jordan, during his meeting on Monday with the King of Jordan, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s press office.
The statement mentioned that the meeting addressed that bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need to continue coordination between Iraq and Jordan on various issues, in a way that focuses on the interests of both countries and serves Arab issues.
Both sides talked about the latest regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue, the crises in the region, and the efforts exerted in the war on terrorism, the statement elaborated.
The meeting also addressed ways to enhance mutual cooperation in accordance with the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries.
King Abdullah stressed Jordan’s keenness to maintain the relations that unite the both countries, and to enhance the cooperation with Iraq at the political and economic levels, the statement added.
King Abdullah also highlighted the importance of Iraq’s role in the region, and stressed that Iraq’s security is essential for the security and stability of the region.
