Iraqi PM to attend World Economic Forum in Switzerland
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, headed to the Swiss city of Davos on Monday to participate in the meetings of the World Economic Forum.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) mentioned that the cabinet’s meeting was held on Sunday instead of Tuesday because of the Prime Minister’s participation in the 54th version of the World Economic Forum, which is kicking off on Monday.
Reports mentioned that Al-Sudani intends to hold meetings discussing cooperation with Iraq.
The annual conference in Davos is being held this year from January 15–19.
The focus of this year’s theme, “Rebuilding Trust,” is on finding answers to complex global issues, including geopolitical conflicts, climate change, and the development of artificial intelligence (AI), rather than just acknowledging concerns.
The four main topics of the World Economic Forum 2024 agenda are: building employment and growth for a new era; attaining security and collaboration in a divided world; artificial intelligence as a catalyst for the economy and society; and a long-term plan for climate change, nature, and energy.
