Iraqi President invited to attend the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi President, Abdul Latif Rashid, received an invitation on Tuesday from the Bahraini King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to attend the 33rd Arab Summit scheduled for May 16 in Bahrain.
According to a statement issued by the Iraqi Presidency, the Charge D’Affaires of the Bahraini Embassy in Iraq, Khalid Ahmed Al Mansour, handed over the invitation to the Iraqi President in a written message.
Al Mansour conveyed the greetings of the Bahraini King to the Iraqi President, as well as the King’s wishes for stability and progress for the Iraqi people.
The Iraqi President also conveyed his greetings and wishes for the ongoing growth and prosperity of the Bahraini people to the King of Bahrain.
Rashid emphasized Iraq’s eagerness for the upcoming Arab summit to be successful and to come up with decisions that contribute to promoting cooperation and joint action to confront the challenges facing the people of the region, preserve their interests, and fulfill their aspirations to live in security, stability, and peace.
The Bahraini diplomat confirmed that Bahrain looks forward to the president of Iraq’s attendance at the next Arab summit, considering Iraq’s important role in both the region and worldwide.
