Iraqi, Saudi FMs review latest regional developments in Manama

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, discussed on Wednesday the latest regional and international developments with the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The two officials met on the sidelines of their participation in the summit-level preparation meeting of foreign ministers for the 33rd regular session of the Council of the Arab League.
The two sides discussed the efforts made in regards to regional developments as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries.
As Arab support for an international conference on the two-state solution gains momentum, the Israeli attack on Gaza will be the main topic of discussion at the Arab Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Bahrain on Thursday.
The Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, called for coordinated Arab action to end the conflict and clear the path for a Palestinian state based on the two-state solution.
According to sources, Arab foreign ministers talked about unifying their stances to present at the Arab summit a single Arab perspective on the Gaza war and Palestinian independence.
Before their preparatory session, the foreign ministers of the Arab world had a non-formal meeting with Aboul-Gheit to talk about the agenda for the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain.
The Saudi Foreign Minister underlined that his country supports a two-state solution for Palestine as well as an immediate and permanent ceasefire and ongoing access to aid.
