Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Social media buzzed with a video documenting an impressive scene during the activities of the 25th Gulf Cup which the southern Iraqi city of Basra is hosting.

The video showed a very long food table prepared by Iraqis free of charge for thousands of Gulf Cup fans.

Social media activists said that the food table is the largest lunch table prepared in a sports event in the world.

After a long absence, the Gulf Cup championship started last Friday in Basra International Stadium, or the so-called Palm Trunk Stadium, in an exceptional version hosted by Basra city which is known for the generosity of its people.

The 25th version of the Arabian Gulf Cup is scheduled to be held between January 6 and January 19, 2023, in the Al-Menaa Olympic Stadium and Basra International Stadium.
