 Iraq’s oil exports to the US stopped last week

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq’s oil exports to the United States stopped in the past week.

The EIA mentioned that the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from seven major countries reached 4.45 million barrels per day, an increase of 519,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, where oil imports reached 4.94 million barrels per day, Shafaq News reported.

The United States did not import crude oil from Iraq during the past week after it imported 205,000 barrels per day during the previous week.

The EIA indicated that most of the United States imports of oil during the past week came from Canada at an average of 3.53 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico with an average of 661,000 barrels per day.

The United States imported an average of 415,000 barrels per day from Colombia and 353,000 barrels per day from Saudi Arabia.

The US imported 338,000 barrels per day from Brazil in the past week, 81,000 barrels per day from Nigeria, and 72,000 barrels per day from Ecuador.

According to the EIA, the United States did not import crude oil either from Libya or Russia in the past week.
