Major tourism complex in Baghdad is set in motion
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, has laid the foundation stone for an expansive tourism complex in Baghdad.
Leading this project is the Qatari Investment Holding Company, Estithmar Holding, marking Qatar’s inaugural investment endeavor in Iraq. This development encompasses a sizable hotel, a residential compound, and an array of tourism amenities.
In his address during the inauguration event, Al-Sudani expressed his gratitude to the Qatari delegation for their collaborative efforts and efficient handling of land allocation and investment licenses.
His speech highlighted Baghdad’s current position – a nexus for commercial, cultural, intellectual, political, and economic activities. Also, Iraq presents numerous promising opportunities, with the government offering support and ease of procedures for crucial enterprises.
The project represents a transformative tourism service for Baghdad, an enduring global hub across various domains. A range of undertakings encompassing infrastructure, services, and residential sectors are in progress. The architectural marvel created by the Qatari Investment Holding Company will seamlessly blend with Baghdad’s historical and heritage-rich identity.
Al-Sudani concluded by affirming that these projects complement the strategic development plan, establishing holistic initiatives aligned with this crucial endeavor, which serves as one of the key economic corridors in the region. Investment support will extend to projects across Baghdad, provinces, as well as the northern region in Kurdistan.
