Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) of the Ministry of Oil announced on Monday it completed drilling and reclaiming 44 oil wells, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The director of IDC, Khaled Hamza Abbas, mentioned in a statement that the technical and engineering staff completed the drilling of 18 oil wells and reclaimed 26 others in Iraqi oilfields for national oil extraction and production companies and international companies operating in Iraq.

Abbas indicated that IDC owns 43 drilling and reclamation rigs with capacity ranging from 500 – 3000 horsepower, including 30 modern rigs distributed in Iraqi oilfields in northern and southern parts of Iraq.

IDC director elaborated that the company obtained last month certificates of integrated management system after checking the company’s working sites in Basra, Baghdad and Kirkuk.

Abbas added that IDC obtained these certificates as a result of the quality of performance and adherence to occupational health, safety and environment standards.
