Over 150 artifacts discovered in Nahrawan, Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Director of the Department of Investigation and Excavations, Ali Shaghlam, announced that 160 artifacts have been found in the archaeological excavation mission in Nahrawan, Iraq.

These items were from great empires that existed over two thousand years before modern-day Iraq. Shalgham pointed out that the artifacts date back to the Parthian Empire (247 BC to 224 AD) and Seleucid Empire (312 BC to 63 BC) eras. The ancient items include jars, pots, glass bottles and ivory.

The rare pieces were handed over to the Iraq Museum in Baghdad.
