Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani went through preliminary designs and broad concepts for a sizable tourism complex in Baghdad which will feature a five-star Rixos hotel.

The 23-story Rixos hotel tower will have 308 hotel rooms, 138 hotel apartments, a conference and exposition center, a fitness facility, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and restaurants.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon provided inspiration for the complex’s and tower’s designs. By 2025, the complex is scheduled to begin operations in Iraq’s capital.

The project proposal was submitted by Estithmar Holding, a Qatari public listed corporation that specializes in real estate development and tourism investment.

Al-Sudani reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering the best possible investment climate in Iraq during the meeting on Sunday.
