SBAH participates in Riyadh International Book Fair
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Qasim Taher Al-Sudani revealed that the Iraqi State Board of Antiquities and Heritage (SBAH) is participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair (RIBF) taking place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, between September 29, and October 8.
Al-Sudani explained that SBAH participated in the cultural event with more than 50 publications in various fields of archaeological and heritage knowledge.
Al-Sudani confirmed that SBAH increased its participation this year through its active presence in the Cairo International Book Fair, the Baghdad International Book Fair and the Riyadh International Book Fair, by presenting its latest releases of magazines and other intellectual productions related to archaeological and heritage affairs.
Al-Sudani mentioned that the Department of Archaeological Studies, Research and Training of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities always seeks to participate in local, regional and international exhibitions with its publications to enrich the readers with the importance of heritage and antiquities in the daily lives.
Al-Sudani indicated the importance of SBAH participation in the book fair as the high demand for buying books related to antiquities and heritage can be clearly seen.
Al-Sudani added that one of the most important publications of SBAH is Sumer magazine which represents great importance to scholars and researchers around the world as it is concerned with antiquities researches.
The Riyadh International Book Fair (RIBF) is held annually in the Saudi capital and represents a platform for companies, institutions, and individuals working and interested in the literature, publishing, and translation sectors to present their books and services.
