 Sharjah’s Air Arabia to begin direct flights to Basra in June

Basra (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Basra is now served by a new route offered by low-cost airline Air Arabia, situated in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Beginning on June 3, there will be three weekly direct flights between Sharjah International Airport and Basra International Airport.

Baghdad, Erbil, and Najaf are the three Iraqi destinations that Air Arabia now serves. The fourth will be in Basra.

“With the launch of our new route to Basra, Iraq, we continue to broaden our reach across the region, reaffirming our commitment to offering affordable and accessible travel options to our passengers,” said Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia.

“The announcement of Air Arabia’s new route to Iraq reinforces our commitment to providing travellers with a smooth and enjoyable journey to more enticing destinations,” added Al Ali.

Direct flights from Sharjah to Basra may now be booked via the Air Arabia website, by phone at the call center, or through travel agents.
