Al-Masoudi highlighted the need to strengthen economic relations and urged Sri Lankan investors to explore business opportunities in both Baghdad and the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Erbil.

The Iraqi diplomat and Fernando reviewed holding the Iraq-Sri Lanka technical and economic cooperation forum in the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, as it will strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Sri Lankan Ministry of Trade, Commerce, and Food Security said that the meeting with Al-Masoudi addressed direct shipping facilities that would enhance Sri Lanka’s trade with Europe and the Middle East.
