Arab, African, European teams request playing friendly Vs. Iraq
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Five European, African and Arab national football teams requested playing friendly matches versus the Iraqi National Football team.
The Secretary General of the Iraqi Football Association Tariq Ahmed stated to IraqiNews.com “Five European, African and Arab officially requested to play friendly matches against the Iraqi National Teams during 2014 to prepare for their future championships.”
He added “The Azerbaijani team requested to play against Iraq in May while Oman asked to face Iraq in September or October and the African Cape Verde team asked to play a friendly match with Iraq on the same date.”
“The Armenian team also asked to play a friendly match against Iraq in May while the Uzbekistani team asked to face Iraq from May 26th till May 29th,” according to Ahmed.
“The IFA will study the available requests to face the Iraqi team during its meeting with the Head Coach of the Iraqi Hakim Shakir to decide the best for the Iraqi team,” he concluded.
