Arbil to host intl. boxing tournament next month

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq will organize an international youth boxing tournament in Arbil City during the second half of the next month, the secretary general of Iraq’s Central Boxing Federation said on Monday. “The competitions will take place from December 20-24 with the participation of a number of Arab teams,” Firas Moussa Omran told IraqiNews.com news agency. The federation has received initial approvals from 10 countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Yemen and Palestine, Omran noted. SS (P) 1
